This is to let you know that I have added Mary
Stephenson's Our Town PowerPoint to the Issues, Housing page so you can direct
people to see it there. Also added are the statistics on aging in St.
Helena/Napa County that were presented to the City Council last week.
These presentations need to be seen by more people if they are to be
meaningful to the public and personal thinking here. No one likes
surprises and then big fears and reactions -- better knowledge now means
less angst later!
And also there are excerpts of the changes to the
General Plan, and the full Staff Report, which will be discussed and
perhaps voted upon at the next Council mtg., 9/10. When you see the changes
in store, you'll know how important this next Council meeting is -- see Issues page, General Plan. Send people
there and, if you are so inclined, please send a letter to the
Star to let the community know about it too. And finally, there
are some meaty articles, reports, statistics, etc. about issues we face
here on the new Resources page, off the Home page.
