Apologies, everyone,
for this unusual frequency of emails lately -- I promise a long lull when
it's possible. But you should know that yesterday the City Council
called a fast Special City Council meeting for tomorrow to evaluate the
City Manager:
SPECIAL
MEETING, ST. HELENA CITY COUNCIL, St. Helena City Hall Conference
Room, 1480 Main St, St. Helena, February 6, 2014 - 8:15 A.M. AGENDA: 3.
PUBLIC COMMENTS PERTAINING TO THE CLOSED SESSION 4. CLOSED SESSION Performance
Evaluation City Manager Public Employee Performance Evaluation City
Manager Brown Act Section: 54957 5. OPEN SESSION –
Council will return to Open Session and announce any actions taken if any.
Public
comments are allowed pertaining to the Closed Session. Please attend
if you wish to speak.
Also, it is
appropriate for anyone who has had a professional interaction as a citizen
with the City Manager or with any aspects of his professional
responsibilities, to write into the City Council with their evaluation of
the experience. This is not a review of his personality or beliefs
but of his job performance. Communication may be made by email
to the Council, or by letters dropped off at City Hall and given
to the City Clerk and must be in by the close of business today -- the
meeting is early in the morning.
The present City Manager
has been here for 2 years. Government operations, issues and
decisions can be reviewed by checking the archives at the Star online. To review what may be
relevant in your comments, here is the City Manager evaluation form from the University of Tennessee's
Institute for Public Service.
