In case you missed it, here you go: Review of the Housing Needs Assessment Meeting
at the Firehouse on Tuesday night. April 29. And here is the Housing Needs Assessment that the City
plans to submit, so far. Check the current stats on St. Helena.
To make housing in this town work for its own
people, please attend the housing meetings that will be scheduled in May
and June as the City prepares to submit its legally mandated Housing
Element to the State at the end of June. If the State is misled and
St. Helena's housing crisis is allowed to get worse, many here will have to
move or watch family members do so. The City's workers are already
outsourced and St. Helena is beginning to feel the lack of local people to
provide much of the volunteer and community work that fosters a good place
to live.
