As we move through the summer, there are some big
issues with
deadlines coming up and two are up at the Planning
Commission tonight -- the General Plan and the Hunter Housing
Project. Termed a "verbal updates on the status of", it
will be the first public outline by the City on the process for each issue,
presumably the timelines involved and -- most important -- the degree of
public participation welcomed or not. By law the General Plan is
fundamentally generated by citizens (see us at work on the right),
so how much input will be "allowed" now as it goes back to the
Planning Commission, after 4 years and so many changes, will be interesting
-- wish the job was done but it's not. Vintage Hall, 6 PM
tonight.
